If you are speaking about virtual machine software under which you can run other OS's, yes it does. I use VirtualBox here to test other Linux Distributions, and I have Windows XP installed in a VirtualBox machine. Mandriva 2007.1 (Spring) includes drakvirt (which I have installed, but have not used as yet), and there are packages for managing vm's with Zen (which I have not tried as yet).
It is not possible to fit all the software that has been packaged for use with Mandriva Linux on a CD or even a DVD. Mandriva has included a subset of the most widely used software on these media. To gain access to the full range of software packaged for use with Mandriva Linux, I suggest all users add the Internet Software Media Sources for use with urpmi and the Software Installer. The easiest way to get this done is to go to the
Easy URPMI WEB site and follow the directions there.
I suggest all users install the following sources:
Quote:
main
main_updates
contrib
contrib_updates
|
If you have no issues with the use of proprietary software, or software that is not Open Source, you may wish to add:
Quote:
non-free
non-free_updates
plf-free
plf-nonfree
|
Caution! I do not recommend that new users add the following Media Sources since the software contained in them is not as well tested as that found in the mainstream sources listed above.
For those who must have the latest (if not the most fully tested) Open Source software:
Quote:
main_backports
contrib_backports

And if you have no issues with the use of proprietary software, or software that is not Open Source, you may wish to add:
Quote:
plf-free_backports
plf-nonfree_backports
