Does Mandrake 10 do a better job of mounting than 9?

I ordered 3 Mandrake 10 cds off eBay recently hoping to replace 9 with it on the HP. Is the mounting feature in 10 alot better than 9? I really hope so. Right now I'm getting headaches trying to get my cdrom to work in 9 via mounting. Someone told me 10 is alot better about this but I dunno...

what command are you using to mount the cd?? what does your /etc/fstab look like??

you shouldn't be having mounting issues on either of those mandrakes...

I have never used Mandrake 9.0, but have used 9.1 and now use 10.0. Never had mount problems in either of them. Mandrake 10.0 even got the usb storage keys right. I use a 256 meg Intelligent stick, and with Mandrake 10.0 as soon as I insert it it auto mounts and pops an icon for it on the desktop. I also don'
t need to unmount it prior to unplugging, just make sure I'm done reading and writting to it (led stopped flashing on usb key).
