Does Mandrake 10.1 has device mapper?

I installed Mandrake 10.1 official and noticed that there is no /dev/mapper/. How can i install/enable device mapper?

You may need to load the device mapper module . Try a "modprobe dm-mod".

I got "no /dev/mapper/control" errors when trying to build a logical volume but
"modprobe dm-mod" created the /dev/mapper/control entry. You may still need
to have this module install on boot ... possible by putting it in modules.conf ?
