melanieS LQ Newbie Registered: Oct 2004 Location: GUILDFORD Distribution: Mandrake Posts: 1 Rep:	DNS value corrupting Hi People. I am unable to access or mail. The ISP connection comes up and my pwd is verified then everything stops. Checking /etc/ppp/resolv.conf I find the first DNS address has changed from 195.8.69.7 to 213.253.16.72 The second DNS value is unchanged at 195.8.69.12 I assume it is the invalid DNS address that causes things to freeze. What is causing this corruption? I am running Mandy 10.0 and have re-loaded the whole nine yards all to no avail. As an ignoramus I would appreciate any pointers. One last thing - this all started after various fumbling attempts to get a USB camera to work - it does finally. Melanie
