Display resolution-help needed
I tried to change me screen res to 1152x864 which is what I have XP set to on the same pc, however now when I boot Mandriva the screen res is huge and totally unusable. I can access hardly anything from KDE because most of it is off the screen. Is there any way I can change it back to 1024x768 using a command line?
Thanks in advance |
From the command line, as root, enter
XFdrake or XFdrake --config This will give you a tool to change your screen resolution. You can also use KDE which is in Configuration->KDE ->Look and Feel On my system, the Corporate desktop, I have a blue box in the KDE tray at the bottom right of my screen which allows me to click that icon, and change the screen resolution. |
I typed XFdrake into a root console and it just said command not found.
Is there any way of adjusting the resolution straight from the command line as like I said i cannot use KDE due to it being off the screen. |
Hi there, you can use hotkeys to cycle through all the available screen modes :-
crtl-alt-(keypad +) or ctrl-alt-(keypad -) Hope that helps :) |
Thats sorted it. Phew!
Thanks a lot!:D |
