Display Manager Script Location

Ok I have reinstalled 10.1oe and now x does not start at boot, I went to MCC and services and DM was not checked to start at boot, so I checked it and now upon rebooting It still will not start x and when I check mcc it is unchecked. So I know there is a file that I can edit but I can not remember where it is. Can someone tell me please?

Check what your default run-level is by looking in the file /etc/inittab

You should have a line which reads:
Code:

id:5:initdefault:
I suspect that you have a 3 instead of a 5 though if you say that your X isn't loading up. Also, make sure that you have a sym link in /etc/rc5.d/ that points to the script /etc/init.d/dm - that's the graphical display manager script that starts X.

It's strange though that changing this in the MCC doesn't work.
