/dev permissions
 

i'm trying to change the permissions for /dev/printers/0 but drakprem is getting in the way. I've already set a rule for drakper allowing the permissions to be set but mandrake still won't let my change it. Any help please?

Already tried it in the console?

chmod ABC /dev/YYY

ABC --> A is Owner B is Group, C is Other

if you want some kind of user to gain read access to the file give a 4, write access is 2 and execute is 1.

yes i've already tryed to modify it in knosol, it works (well actuly it doesn't just says it does) untill i restart my mashine
