I have a Nvida card, a lot of work & I have it working in 9.2, happy camper

During start-up i see this error message from my /var/log/boot.log:

My box runs ok, but I cannot do any security updates or get urpmi to find a mirror for me

I think these items are interconnected

Maybe your default kernel or if its recompiled isn't including ELF lib's support to read them.. etc.
