Angry date and time settings


why does my date and time keep changing from the settings i chose in mandrake 9.2

maybe if you told us some useful information.... how does it change? to a continual offset? does it drift? does it revert to the bios clock?

For instance the time is 6.45 pm, but the clock shows 2.45 pm and also not the 19 but the 20th is the date. My windows XP time and date is correct

You probably have to change your time zone.
China is GMT + 8 (Say). the default time zone is probably West Coast of USA.
How to do it? Well it depends on your environment but for a start click on the clock in KDE or maybe Gnome and try from there. You will need to enter your root password.
