Dammit

k, wiht my new exploratory fashion using mandriva, I have changed my boot screen to console. I did this actually on purpose, problem is, my girlfriend wants the old way back. Heres my dilema, I don't know how to do this. Probably would have figured it out soon enough but just thought I'd ask.

Take a look at the inittab manpage ('man inittab') and /etc/inittab. Generally, runlevel 4 is X.

Runlevel 5 is the standard X-windows runlevel in Mandriva.

I was operating on memory when I posted. After looking around, it seems that a lot of major distributions do indeed use runlevel 5. I stand corrected.

Apreciated

Never knew about this, but will explore. Guess I'll post if I have any other questions, but thank you all very much for the extremely quick response.
