Talking Crystal PnP wave files skip

I'm having a problem with my Crystal PnP. It came with my PC. I've had to format my hard drive a few times. Every time a wave file tries to play it starts to skip. Meaning it just plays over and over and over. The only way to stop this I have to mute the "wave" in my volume control. But then I cant hear any wave files that I have.
There has to be a better way, I'm at the end of my rope
