Corrupted modules.conf

Newbie here...

My /etc/modules.conf contains some new junk values. They are actually a couple of the startup messages displayed on screen.

I do not have a backup of the original file. Can anyone please help me on how I can restore the correct entries of the file...

TIA.

What are the error messages you are receiving?

You can type 'dmesg' from shell to review your boot messages.

You can also just create an empty modules.conf file and reboot. Check dmesg or take a look at /var/log/messages. This may give you some insight into what you need to add (if anything).

You may also want to give your system specs (mb, sound, video, etc) and you may find somewhere here with a similar system to help you out.

Cheers.
