Hello, running the latest stable Mandriva with Gnome.
Got a problem with my Intel 2200BG Wireless device; I am able to configure it correcly, and set it up with all the necessary information, but, when it comes to openinga web site I get nothing, and the progress times out.
I got no clue myself why this happens, first I thought it was cause my connection requires a PPPPoE to work, but after enabling that, I got the same problem.
Any ideas on what could be wrong, and how to fix it as well?
Distribution: Mandriva, Mandriva, Mandriva. (Three different releases depending on the computer)

It's possibly a DNS problem. Did you set-up with dynamic or fixed IP address? Which version of Mandriva are you using and how did you set it up?
If you look at the Wireless set-up in Configure Your Computer in 2007/2008 you should be able to see a Wireless set-up and check details like that.
You might well find there's no DNS server. If it's DHCP set-up it should pick up the DNS servers from your router, but I'm having problems with this at the moment, so I know it's not infallible. You can always add the DNS IP addresses in manually.
Something must be denying me to access the internet..
Must be, because that's all I had to do With Mandy 2007 was install the firmware and connect to a public hot spot.
For some cases it's an IPV6 issue, just another avenue to try. In the URL field of Firefox web browser type: about:config to access configuration and scroll down to "network.dns.disableIPV6" and right click it and toggle it to true.
There are many other settings in here you might want to dabble with.
I have always had to supply my DNS servers manually. Try pinging googles IP address which is 66.249.93.104. if you hit it, try pinging www.google.co.uk, and if you do not hit it, its not resolving the domain name and sure to be a DNS problem.
