Hi deliberate,

Welcome to LQ!

Please provide the exact error message, copy and paste it if this is possible.

I tried doing a websearch on:

"clipboard format not found"
"clipboard format is not found"
"required clipboard format"
"required clipboard format not fuound"

and got no matches to this problem. This probably means that you have not copied it exactly. Exact error messages make identifying the problem much easier.

Also does this happen every time, or was it just once? Does it happen on every webpage? What happens if you use another browser?

Mark.

Sorry Mark,

I am just back from my holiday. Thank you for your kind help. I am using Mandrake 10.0 in Chinese intallation, so the message is just translate from Chinese. I am not sure it is the correct translation.
All the browser have the same problem. This did not happened in Mandrake 9.2. Now I found a to do this by saving the web page in my harddisk. Then, I open the file in OpenOffice's html editor. Copy and paste it to the Writer and view it as plain text format.

Did the page contain Chinese characters? Maybe it was an internationalisation problem. Does the same problem occur if you copy from a page with no special characters?

I did these with Chinese and English in Mandrake 9.2 without problem. This only happen in Mandrake 10.0 OE.
