Changing the graphical boot screen

I noticed in the systems settings there is an option to change the grahpic at the boot screen but in the drop down menu the only option appears to be the exact one thats already there. Does anyone know how to edit this?

As well as that is there anyway to change the screen that comes up when you boot up with tux and the stars in his eyes to a customized graphic?

Thanks,
NNP

Install other bootsplash themes from contrib. Then you can simply change to a new theme.

Sorry if this is dumb but what do you mean by contrib?

I mean the contrib directory on the ftp mirrors. It's in the media dir just like main. Visit easyurpmi to add it to your package sources.

Hey, i filled out the boxes there and selected the best mirror and at the end it gave me this
Code:

urpmi.addmedia --update updates ftp://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/ftp.mand.../main_updates/ with media_info/hdlist.cz
urpmi.addmedia main ftp://ftp.heanet.ie/pub/mandrake/Man...586/media/main with media_info/hdlist.cz
urpmi.addmedia contrib ftp://ftp.heanet.ie/pub/mandrake/Man.../media/contrib with media_info/hdlist.cz

Im just wondering what will that do if i type it in and how do i go about using those mirrors to get stuff after typing that in?

Thanks,
NNP

You can install additional software directly from that ftp mirror. Use the software install utility or from the command line you can use the "urpmi <packagename>" command (without quotes).
