Ok, then it'd be better if you download the file(network_drivers.img) from another source and write into the floppy again(try using a different floppy if possible). see ftp://ftp.free.fr/mirrors/ftp.mandri...nstall/images/
I accidently opened the file into an old version of Word and I do not know how to return it to its former status as a file that you need to open with another program.
opening the file doesn't work (when selecting a downloading option) and everitime I save the file it comes without .img part. This is a real fine mess I got myself into.
Try renaming the file.... add the .img part
EDIT: Rawwrite could also be smart enough to detect the type of the file without the extension, try opening the file through it.
Ok, for host name, you should enter the ip address (i'll give you an example for ftp.free.fr)
eg. 213.228.0.141
name : ftp.proxad.net
the mandrakelinux directory would be mirrors/ftp.mandriva.com/MandrivaLinux/official/2005/i586/
If there is no other way then I will go to the nearest friend that has broadband and a burner and ask them if they can get it onto a CD. So will it fit on 650mb CDs?
kiwusek
It might help if we knew a little bit more about you
your location for a start (just town & country ), because we may be able to point you to a local "Linux User Group" ( LUG ) and they might be able to help you get started.
Or check out the LUG forums here at LQ
Someone might be able to point you to a shop or something where you can get some Mandriva CDs
