Change the KDE Menu icon
How do I get rid of the star icon that is where the kde icon should be on the KDE start menu?
Thanks Boffy |
AFAIK, there are two options:
1) Change the source & recompile. 2) change the actual icon in /usr/share/icons (+ /crystalsvg maybe?). So keep the name the same, but change the icon. The same thing goes for the "show desktop" icon. The icon is called desktop-mdk.png, and is somewhere in either /usr/share/icons or /usr/share/icons/crystalsvg; forgot which place exactly. Latem |
Here's what I did:
Navigate here: /usr/share/icons/crystalsvg/32x32/apps/menuk-mdk.png Rename menuk-mdk.png to menuk-mdk-bak.png Navigate Here: /usr/share/icons/crystalsvg/32x32/apps/kmenu.png Rename kmenu.png to menuk-mdk.png The folder 32x32 might depend on the size of your startbutton. restart kde note: There are several sizes depending on your default menu size ie: 16x16, 32x32 etc... you may have to change the menuk-mdk.png in those folders as well. Thanks kencaz that worked like a charm. Now do you know how to remove the word menu from over the icon?
