[SOLVED] Can not Update or Install New Packages.

I have installed Mandrivia 2011 and it is running well. When ever I try to add Media for Updates and Installing Packages I get the response "Can not find mirror from $MIRRORLIST". Are the repositories closed or what is happening?

things to check:
--configuration file set up with preferred mirrors
--the specified mirror is down**
--internet connection not working

**if everything seems OK, try specifying a different mirror

I would recommend you upgrade to Mageia
version 2 should be out very soon

Switching distros is not normally the best way to solve problems---but it certainly can be an easy way out!!

Turns out the repos were down. Monday was able to install media and update. Running fine now.
