Question Can't view (most) PDF files in mdk10.0

Hello, I have a strange problem - I re-installed mandrake 10.0, but keeping the /home partition in tact (/ was reformatted) however, now I can't view most of the pdf files that are on my home direcory - xpdf just segfaults and kghostview opens it's window up, but then stops, it doesn't crash, just doesn't load the file.

So cummon - what have I gone and done now?!
