Can't set Clock on KDE
Hi, I am running Mdk 9.2 with KDE and I have this weird problem with my desktop clock. I want to change the time on it, so I right click it and select "Adjust Time and Date." I type in the root password and then KDE spits back an error at me. Here is the error message:
---- There was an error loading the module. (Details:) Possible reasons: - An error occurred during your last KDE upgraed leaving an orphaned control module - You have third party modules lying around Check these points carefully and try to remove the module mentioned in the error message. If this fails, consider contacting your distributor or packager. ----- I never upgraded KDE (still using the installed 3.1) and I am quite sure that there should not be any third party mods on the system. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! |
don't know about kde but have you tried setting the time using mandrake control center? That should still work if it's just a problem with kde.

Maybe you should run the Mandrake Update? you know, a little reverse psychology?

Well, I tried using the control center, but still no cigar. I also ran the Mandrake Update, installed all new packs, but I still can't adjust this damn clock. Any ideas?

what error message if any do you get when you use the mandrake control center (NOT the kde control center)?
