Burning ISO Image with K3b software ?

Hey Mandrake 10.0 Users;

I am getting reading to burn an ISO file onto a blank CD-R and I was wondering if it is possible to do this with the K3b software that comes with Mandrake 10.0.

I open K3b up, but I don't see anywhere inside any icons that suggest to burn an ISO image file.

It has an "audio icon", "DVD icon", "new Data project icon" & a "copy CD icon", but no ISO image icon, so, which mode should I use?

My first guess would be to use the CD copy icon and play around with the settings, but I want to make sure I do it correctly the first time.

Can someone give me a quick how to burn an ISO file using K3b?

Thanks,

d-1

yes you can.........

i'm at work & not in front of K3b right now, but the iso image option is located in one of the top toolbar menus. i THINK it's file->new->create iso, or something like that (maybe make image?). look in the top toolbar options for it. it's there somewhere.

Thanks I found it under Tools menu>CD>Image File.

I am not sure what the burnfree [x] box is for but will try to burn image.

Works better than Nero.

Alternatively, you could just double click on the iso file and Mandy will open K3b and set it up to burn an iso image.

You can right click in the K3B Welcome area - that gives you the option to add button shortcuts there. I removed a "New Data DVD project" shortcut, too, since I don't have a DVD burner...
