Authenticate Active Directory with Mandrake 10.1?

I am trying to get Mandrake 10.1 to authenticate with Active Directory.
I want to use this older version of Mandriva to recycle old computers that can't handle the bigger kernels of current Linux distributions.

I also would prefer not to use a separate server if possible. I think if I use an LDAP method I would have to.

If anyone can point me in the direction of a good tutorial or guide it would be appreciated!

Thanks! This looks like an awesome walk-through to get it working. Hopefully I can follow it correctly.

If anyone else has any more suggestions or websites please post them. I really want this project to work!
