Question Aticonfig and heartbeat of Mandriva 2009 powerpack 64

Hi, pieps

I have installed Mandriva 2009 powerpack 64, but now I cannot set up my ATI display card the system replays that heartbeat failed.

At this moment I cannot log in, I only get a blackscreen with cursor at top left corner. I know that I can fix this through starting the system in recovery mode but, if I do how do I repair the error.

I'm running a: Athlon cpu
Asus A8V Deluxe Mainboard
1.5 Gb RAM
ATI Sapphire Radeon 9550 256Mb AGP
Graphics Adaptor
Microsoft wireless mouse and Keyboard (USB)

Please help I'm stuck, I need this machine for a course I'm busy with!

Thanx

Does Mandriva 2009 use /etc/X11/xorg.conf?

Anyway put in a xorg.conf file

Possible drivers: radeon or fglrx

Use Modelines

Why do you need heartbeat and what are you doing with it?

You mean http://linux-ha.org/ , right?

uninstall that with rpm

Question Heartbeat

Amani

Mandriva, needs it, I think. If I intall the ATI catalyst drivers and restart the system I get a error which states that heartbeat is not running and then, I cannot log into the system.

Thats why I think that I need to get heartbeat up and running. When I re-install mandriva it asks if I want to use proprierty drivers for my display if I select yes then I cannot login, but if no it uses its own drivers and all works fine but I cannot setup my two displays like in windoze XP, it is all just cloned.

The otherthing is I cannot get my Nokia N73 to connect with Mandriva via Bluetooth, so no internet with the mandriva box?
