Hello colleagues;

When I installer MDV2006 for AMD64 for the first time, I was able to get the 3D of mi Ati Radeon 9200SE running. I did:
- update Xorg from cooker (6.9.0-1 version)
- Download the latest .run from the ati website
- init 3
- ./xxxxxxxx.rum
- modprobe fglrx.ko (there were a few, I don´t remember which one I chose)
- insmod fglrx.ko
- reboot the system.

Now I have updated to Xorg 6.9.0-5 form the "updates" repo, and I have followed the same steps, witth the old driver I had from ATi and with the latest one. And........... It doesn´t work, of course.
I have tried to install it running MDV in failsafe modo but it hasn,t gone better.
When I execute commands like glxgears or glxinfo, it reports a problem related witth XFree86-Dri (not installed I think).

Any ideas.... It´s boring some things demand so much work and time to get them running on linux...

use xorg 6.8.2 6.9 is not supported by the ATI drivers.

when i attempted to install ati on a 6.9.0 it wouldent even start the installation script.

try running fgl_glxgears and see what it says.

Thank you for your response.
When I execute fglxinfo, glxgears, and so on, It appears the Mesa driver.

How could I go back to Xorg 6.8.2 ??
