ATI and x86-64 - One More Time

Ok, so I am going to try this one more time from scratch.
I just did a fresh re-install of Mandrake 10.1 x86-64.

I was reading ATI's release notes for the x86-64 drivers and noticed it said:

Note: The following 32 bit packages must be installed in order for 64 bit drivers to install and work properly:
· XFree86-Mesa-libGL
· libstdc++
· libgcc
· XFree86-libs
· fontconfig
· expat
· freetype
· zlib

1) What do I need to do to ensure I have these 32-bit packages?

2) Last time, I was trying to upgrade to X.Org 6.8 prior to my ATI Driver install. ATI has drivers listed on their website for XFree86 as well. Is it ok if I just use those and forego the upgrade to X.Org? Will I see any difference?

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks for any help you can give.
