assigning raw devices: error when going to init3
when trying to set up ati graphics drivers I get this error message when going to init3
From the gui, I go "ctrl+alt+F1, then login and init3, to close the x interface and gui, Then I get this error.... "Assigning raw devices: cannot open master raw device '/dev/rawctrl' (no such file or directory)" I also get this when trying to restart the PC. So I havent been able to save changes to kde, like single click mouse functions, and non-graphic boot display. This first happened while trying to setup ati graphics drivers/modules, since then I've done a clean install.... But I still get the error, but now at shutdown. Any advice appreciated |
Funny, but it dosen't occur when booting up with the Linux-NonFB, mode.
So it seems to be some thing to do with the graphics setup, especially when switching to a terminal outside X. |
