When I try to run alsaplayer I get the following output:

[root@Desktop Music]# alsaplayer
Segmentation fault
Any ideas?

1st: Don't use root.
2nd: take a look at Xmms.

I tried it on root and as myself. xmms works fine. The reason I want to use alsaplayer is that you can slow down a song (tempo).

An upgrade to Mandriva Linux 2005LE fixed this problem for me.
