ADSL and Firewall setup

Hi I have the following case and need help:

There is a Mandrake9.2 machine connected to a network with ADSL connection. Everyone is able to connect to the router using a pppoe interface. The problem is i want to set up the Linux Box as a firewall and have all the connections going through it- i.e internet sharing through the Linux Box. However to do this it seems i need to place a new network card into my Linux Box (one for the asdl router line feeding into the Linux Box, another (existing) which will have a netwok cable going into a switch or hub - ensuring that all traffic goes through the box). The problem is how do you go about doing this with Mandrake Control Center. I am able through the Mandrake Control Center able to connect directly using the ADSL router.

Hi wild99992002,
When you put another pci nic, during boot process, you wil see kudzu detecting the board and asking you to configure it.
Leave the card unconfigured and after you can set it up at the Mandrake control center. It will ask you to choose which board you want to configure.

What tool then do I use after (the configuration of the new card ) to enable that the internet is shared on my network from my box?

Hi wild99992002,
I suppose now you can connect by the second nic card to internet. Now we must configure the firewall rules to enable the sharing. I suggest you to access the link www.linuxguruz.com/iptables if you want a lot of information and the link http://easyfwgen.morizot.net/gen/ if you want easily configure a firewall for your needs.

Have fun!
