Adding PHP to 2008.1

After going through the agony of a clean 2008.1 install and migrating my mods and configs from 2007.1 I have a couple of problems left. The first is when I installed PHP, it did not make the appropriate changes to the Apache config file so Apache does not know it is there. In typical Mandriva fashion the configuration files for Apache are non-standard. Where do I put the PHP module so Apache will load it? Apparently the httpd.conf file does have have 'Loadmodule' commands in it. None of the documentation associated with Apache or PHP explains where everything needs to go to make it work on Mandriva. Thanks.
