"Adding a Medium" in Medium Manager????
 

Another newbee question.

Using the "Media Manager" located in the Mandrake Control Center how do I "Add a Medium" in for an http or ftp server. Specifically what do I enter in the "Name" and "URL" boxes?? When I enter a URPMI mirror url in the "Add a Medium" url box I get an error message.

Basically what I'm trying to do, and I repeat "trying to do" is add additional URPMI mirror sites/packages to "Media Manager" so that I would have more software. If I try to do it using the root terminal it won't accept it. I get a message saying contrib or plf or whatever is already being used and is locked.

I hope I haven't confused anyone to badly. Everytime I try to do something new on Mandrake/Linux I say "This is sooooo &^%# difficult." Then after I figure it out I say "Wow, this is sooooooo easy, how could I be that dumb"

If you are getting a locked message, reboot.

This should remove any locks.
