Access denied while adding a font

I want to add a font to /usr/share/fonts but when I tried to paste the font there I got access denied, is there any other way to add a font?

judging how your wrote your question, i am assuming you were not root when trying
this .. so if that was the case then you know what to do now .. as root :
Code:
cp /path/to/new/font /usr/share/fonts

Try using the KDE font installer. From the KDE Control Center select System -> Font Installer.
You probably didn't su to root before trying to write to the /usr/share/fonts directory.

To directly copy a file to the /usr dir, you need to enter 'su' first and then the root password. The 'adm' group will allow you to do things like access windows mounts and read the man files when you are using a higher security level. I don't believe it gives you write access to system directories.
