Mageia Live KDE Stops Booting

I wanted to get behind a distro. I've tried about 15-20 this year (getting pretty good at installs!!) and decided to take Mageia for a spin.

While booting the Live DVD, it comes to a spot and just stops (not frozen, just stops). I tried two times, waited for a long time and it just stops.

The last 3 things that where on the screen where when it just stops are;

[OK] Reached target Multi-User System.
[OK] Reached target Graphical Interface.
Starting Update UTMP about System Runlevel Changes...
[OK] Started Update UTMP about System Runlevel Changes

Then just stops.

Anything I can do to make it work?

Thank you,
Chris.

Did you do an MD5sum check on the image before you burned it to disk? You might also test the Live DVD in another computer. If it fails there, it's almost certainly something to do with the optical media.

I have used Mageia and have not encountered anything like this.

Yes, did the MD5sum check. Will check with the other computer.

Thank you for the reply,

Chris.

I gave up. I'll try another distro instead.
