That looks like code from the actual ad. Can you click refresh and see if there are any erorrs on plain non flash/rich media banners. Thanks!

OK,
I set the lq forums page to my home page and opened it a few times, there was one time it loaded with the add showing and there was no error.
Anytime the page loads without the add showing I see the error in my javascript console
When I try to refresh the page the error shows unless the add shows. If the add shows there is no error.
Navigating to another page like a post or any other page with the ad on it will produce another script error, unless the add loads.
For instance submitting a post produces the error, editing this post produced an error
The javaScript Console always says syntax error line one with a link to the add

I don't know if anyone is still following this "missing ads" issue, but I installed kde3.1RC5 and the ads are there...must have been a problem with Konq.

as a new member let me say that i like it here and i will be on board with the whole contributing thing if
1)there is some sort of assurance from you that you wont change the board in some bad way in the near future( this isnt that important)
2) avatars- i like them so do some others maybe you could hold a poll about avatars? if they got voted down then i would agree and still contribute.
i didnt read the other posts here so dont know if any others said this already.
thankyou

Brain Drop,
The avatar thing has come up a few times (a quick search in the suggestions forum should turn up the threads). They are not going to happen. Sorry. As for number one, LQ will continue to change and evolve as it always has - for the better!

1. jeremy has been very careful from the very beginning to retain full control over LQ so that it will remain the way he wants it to remain. he's had offers from some companies to help out with the bandwith costs that he's turned down because they want too much control over the forums. jeremy recently obtained a new server to run the site that was donated very generously by ASL - he could have gotten one sooner, but waited until it was donated with no strings attached. once you've gotten to know jeremy a bit better, you'll see why all the mods and members here trust him pretty much implicitly - he's been the steady hand controlling this site from the beginning, and he always impresses me with how calm and level-headed he's been throughout all the changes the site has gone through.
2. avatars
... not going to happen, sorry. we've discussed this before, and the mods at least were unanimous against. plus, and most importantly, jeremy doesn't like them. one thing to remember here is that, while jeremy is very fair, and will take a poll on minor issues, LQ isn't a democracy.
