Looks like i dropped in on yesterday's news. I'm not new to Linux, but not an advanced user either. My POV is the less I have to learn to use the software the better.

Spin doctors talk about sustainability but they stay on the Gates-Jobs train. I'm installing Ubuntu distro in a digital divide project in Nicaragua. My work is not paid so this work is my contribution to the community. I chose Ubuntu because it has the bi-lingual (Spanish-English) stuff I need. Without the Codigo Abierto-Open Source movement, any attempts at sustainability for the have-nots would be a joke. Thanx to all open source contributors for making it possible to introduce technology to communities who are struggling just to get dependable electricity and water.

Why bother? Because folks really do not want to be left behind, and much of the wealth that the haves enjoy has come at the expense of those who've been left in the dust.

ready to compile at last,
susan

Hi,

I've only been a registered member of the LinuxQuestions.org for little over two months now and I have to say that in my opinion it's the greatest site ever. The members really help out each other, a lot of information is shared. At first I started out just posting my problems to which I needed and could not find an answer myself. Little after that I found myself looking at the site more than once a day. Now I open the LQ Spy as one of the first sites and keep it open all day long. It's addicting to me because I read and learn so much.

Really a very well deserved applause to Jeremy and all the members

In order to help out I've put in my two cents too and contributed to LinuxQuestions.org hoping that this little bit can help to keep a good thing going. Being part of a small hosting company myself I know what it costs to keep everything running, so Jeremy, keep it up please.

Kind regards,

Eric
