Who owns LQO....do they make money...etc?
 

Hey,

I just wondered who owns Linuxquestions.org, and do they make money from it?

I know some forums are bought out eventually by internet.com, but I was just curious.

Does anyone know also when a company like internet.com buys a forum if they pay a good amount of cash for it or what?

jeremy owns it, and no, it doesn't make him a fortune. AFAIK he is somewhat out of pocket on linuxquestions on the whole.

Chris is correct. Currently ads and contributing members do not cover the cost of the site. Hopefully someday. As you can probably tell making money is not the main focus of the site - helping people with Linux is.
