When you went into a forum it used to say "you have made x posts in this forum"...

I just noticed recently that when I go into a forum, like Linux - Software it no longer says the amount I have posted in that forum.

It used to say something like:

Whitehat, you have made a total of 251 posts in this forum (6 threads and 249 replies).

Does this not exist anymore? Just curious :)

Thanks,
Whitehat

Funny thing, I asked Jeremy the same thing today. Its been removed to reserve resources.

Cheers.

LOL....

Good. I'm glad I'm not going crazy. Thanks for letting me know :)

heh this has to be something like telepathy, I was about to create a thread like this right now, came to questions and suggestions forum and, oops, it's already here.

Unfortunately some of the queries used to generate those stats were starting to bog things down a bit. I am in the process of trying to implement something similar that is less resource intensive. Is this a feature that members liked?

I really liked it. It sorta let me know in an "unofficial" way when I entered a forum if I spend much time there or not. I used to like knowing that kind of info.

:)

If you do find a way to do something similar with less resources I think it would be welcomed back :)

Thanks,
Whitehat

You can now click on (Forum Stats) in the upper left hand corner of each forum if you'd like to see this info.

Thanks Jeremy, guess instead of loading on each and every members forum view, making it load only on request is less resource intensive as I tend to look at these stats as well.

Awesome, thank you. In the thread where we were discussing General post counts, I went out looking for it as well, and noticed it was gone. However, I blamed the browser I was using and thought nothing of it afterwards ;)

Cool

Hey thanks :)

Nice dig. Sure makes you feel good when you can make yourself feel good at someone elses expense...doesn't it?

Jeremy,

Thanks for that. That's great :)

Peace,
Whitehat

I was about to start a thread and it is already there. I appreciate that line which told how many posts I had made in that forum. thanks for the Forum Stats button Jeremy. You are doing a terrific job Jeremy. Keep going.

Cheers.

Ok, I was about to start a new thread for this but it seems that my query will fit into this thread just fine.

With that said, here is my query: Is there any way to find out how many posts I have made in each forum. I understand there is a forum stats specific for each forum but I was wondering something like a search which displays:

<user>

General
XX posts
Software
XX posts
Linux-General
XX posts

Something like this. Not the complete picture that u get from the forum stats, just the total no. of posts made. Is this possible?
