What technology and programming techniques?

The forums now are really great and dynamic!

I say this because, it is much easier to edit posts, post answers, etc.

I am just curious to know a few things
1. Is this website using AJAX extensively for the the forums (editing only one section..etc)
2. Which GNU/Linux distro is the server of Linuxquestions dot org?
3. PHP version?
4. Softwares used to record the podcast?

This is just for my information. Someone could PM me if it cannot be disclosed in a post.

TIA

The answers to these questions are around the forums if you do a search, but - yes we do use AJAX, RHEL, PHP 5.1.x and Audacity.

Why does it seem that many of the advanced features work even though I have Javascript turned off in my browser?

Many of the features do have a non-JS fallback, although it's usually in a fairly degraded mode.
