What criteria for HCL posts?

Posted what seemed to me to be the usefull knowledge that the obscure Peak tv/radio card works, at least for analog (havn't tried it for digital), in the HCL. Imagine my disapointment when this public service gets zapped.

If I knew why I might be able to put things right.

Not sure what you mean by "Imagine my disapointment when this public service gets zapped". We have no plans to discontinue the HCL here at LQ.

No I meant my own little contribution got zapped.

If it got deleted, you'd get a confirmation with a reason why. Keep in mind that all submissions need to be approved before they appear.

This does not tell me what the problem is.

Would it not be desirable upon deletion of a post for the reason to be given to the author while the memory is still hot? Why is the associated description of how to get the card to work, card number, tuner number etc. also deleted? Could this not be usefull to some party?

You posted the same item twice, so one was approved and the other was deleted.
