Congrats, MasterC! But don't be so modest - you can aim higher than that.

I was just hoping that with the amount of posts now-a-days that there were enough moderators to keep any one of them from becoming frustrated while attempting to keep things on an even keel here.
Congrats, and good luck.

MasterC,
That's great! You've been so helpful around here that being a mod probably isn't going to be very difficult for you.

Power corrupts,
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

I give him a month

Congrats

By the way, I see that the moderator label has replaced the contributing member label. Does this mean that they have returned your money? A first paycheck so to speak

Nah, I'm like a Contributing Member Plus now

It also replaced my "LQ Addict" label that has been awarded nearly 8 times over now, that's the sad part

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! And I hope I'm not corrupted, ever, much more in a month!

I think the main difference as far as you guys should notice will be that I can now close those threads I comment on "Before this thread gets closed..." Oh, and I can help ensure the thread gets seen more properly by moving it to it's more correct forum, this should aid in it getting more appropriate replies, and an overall better experience!

Well, gotta get back to the boards before I hit the sack (my eyes are dropping as I type this) to do some wrapping up, but thanks again everyone!

Oh, and as a side note:
I know you meant that Jokingly (I hope anyway ) about "I give him a month". Please, if any of you find me being unfair, or well, for lack of a better word, corrupted, please, feel free to email me about your concern. If you have PM-ability, I check that every visit to the site, so use that as well. I'm hoping to simply increase my helpfulness by becoming a moderator, not turn it into "Chad's wrath on the Newbies".

Cool

I was going to start the bidding last night, but didn't really want to be the first one to bring this up. =-}
I give him more than a month, it'll take that long for the euphoria to wear off. I give him a month and 3 days. =-}

I was kidding of course MasterC....

But, now that moses wants to make it interesting, I'll have to make a more conservative estimate of 7 weeks

If you listen to Chad too closely, he will have you believeing that he's just another n00b, and that Jeremy has promoted him out of the goodness of his heart.

Rubbish.

Chad thoroughly deserves to Mod, if it wasn't for the likes of him and the others, I wouldn't know a fraction of what I've learned.

He really does know his "sheeit"!.

Well done and long may it continue!

regards

John

Thanks Lynch!

And thanks everyone, I've been having a great time as a mod, I am very happy I can help out the Newbies even more now, they are the crowd we have to 'win over' more so than anyone else IMHO, so I'm very happy to be a part of that.

Cool
