Ok guys this is crap now I need to post here in this form so that ("You cannot post URLs to other sites until you have made at least 5 posts.") I can post urls from other sites. Any ways no one has to reply because I am just posting this to get 5 posts. Here is my post that I what to add urls to... h-t-t-p-:-/-/-w-w-w-.-l-i-n-u-x-q-u-e-s-t-i-o-n-s-.-o-r-g-/-q-u-e-s-t-i-o-n-s-/-s-h-o-w-t-h-r-e-a-d-.-p-h-p-?-t-=-4-2-1-5-6-0- this sucks doesn't it.
There are other ways to legitimately post a url before you reach 5 posts e.g. http: //somesite.com/somepage.php . The 5 post thing is to reduce the amount of spam posted on this site.

Somehow, your problem is not impressing me. You have been registered since September and have had ample opportunity to get up to 5 posts.

scar_freewill, please do not intentionally circumvent the rules. While it's unfortunate that we need to take measures like this to prevent spam, the reality is that it make a very big difference.
Sorry guys I was just realy provoked yesteraday night. (I was up till 4:00am trying to get cygwin to work like I wanted it to) I do see your point but, I mainly post in forms that don't give me "post s/points" so aleast I have five now and I can go and paste URLs for my post of cygwin.
you could have looked through the forums for 0 posts and tried to help someone out that couldn't do something you've had experience with. Even with my limited linux experience I found theres a couple posts I could find and answer. Bitching about something that stops spam is no way to get help around here.. or so I would guess.
Sorry, I'm newbie for the forum. How can I post five news? or I just post some useless post to collect enough posts?
Don't do that!
Look through the 0 reply threads and see if there is anything there that you could help with or that you have the same problem with, but don't just post gibberish all over the place.
There is bound to be someone you can help. Sometimes things that "you" think are really simple are posted as questions by people who are not finding them so simple. A recent example that comes to mind is: "what is an editor?".
This is not a technical question, just a general knowledge and computer familiarity question. Answering it (or one like it) could really help the person out!

Ok thats a good point, but I am already past 5 posts so it wouldn't help for me.
I also thought about making a time period what you have to wait before you can post "links", but that also has some negative aspects...
For now I just hope that this will help other (s).
Thanks for the advice but like I said it couldn't help me anymore.
though you have more than 5 posts, you should still make an effort to give back to the community- not just to get to post links. Don't just ask questions.
