User Name & PW Will Not Save In Mozilla 1.7 On LQ Site

I don't seem to have a problem with this in other forums, and did not have this problem before the upgrade in LQ.

I will attempt to use Opera, Firefox and (dread) XP sometime soon to see if they have the same problem.

Anyone else experiencing this, seeing that moz is pretty much the engine in all the other browsers?

[edit] I forgot to mention that moz does not even ask whether I want to save my login info.

also i just tried logging in with firefox and it DID ask me to save the pw/user info permanently,-- which it did.. but when i went to edit a post, i had to re-enter my info again.

I normall start at www.linuxquestions.org/questions and go from there. I have a similar, though not as drastic, problem but I think my Firefox settings need changing.
