Unresponsive Script on forum and HCL

I first noticed this when I was browsing the HCL, but then when I came here to browse for posts about the issue I got it on the forums too. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened on any other parts of the forums as well.

In a large number of pageloads, I get a Firefox message box saying that there's a script that has stopped responding, and it gives me the option to ignore it or "Stop Script" (I don't remember the exact wording and can't seem to replicate this when I want to)

I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.6 on Ubuntu 6.06 running fluxbox. I'll post more information when I can replicate the error again.

Please do post more information as you get it, as I can't replicate the issue here. Without knowing what script it is, there isn't a lot we can do.

Interestingly, another user was complaining that firefox hit 100% CPU while browsing LQ: I wonder if it could be related: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=468071

I don't know how to get any information about what specific script is causing the problem. If anyone can inform me of how to get information like that, please do.

You weren't logged in when you took that screencap. Do you have problems when you are logged in?
