Go to MY LQ (top right of the page) and in there go to Edit Options. About half way down there's the Default Thread Subscription Mode section. Set the option to Do Not Subscribe. This will stop the emails. If you want to be emailed on a by thread basis, you can do so by going advanced when you create your reply by scrolling down the page and changing the Thread Subscription options.

If i select "Do not subscribe" , will i get the subscribed threads here on LQ forum(after logging in) by clicking "Quick Links>Subscribed Threads" ?

I want all threads containing my post/posts to be listed here "Quick Links>Subscribed Threads" as subscribed threads without getting email from LQ forum for that thread-replies.

If you select Do Not Subscribe, you will have to subscribe manually in each thread. In the advanced edit area the selection drop down offers the option of subscribing but not receiving an email notification.

I think that option only changes the default in new subcriptions, if the thread you're talking about was subcribed with email option before you changed to "No email notification" you would still get email for that thread (you have to change existing subscriptions manually).

ntubski is correct - changing the default will not retroactively change existing subscriptions.

No. Use the "No e-mail notification" option, instead. And as Jeremy pointed out, you'll need to manually change options for threads to which you posted before changing your default.

Cheers
