Thread email login zaps new posts

Hi

I just noticed that when i access LQ from an email thread, and then later logon directly, the new post count is gone. Shouldn't the new post list stay until i click the "mark all read" button?....i like going thru all the new posts...i have learned alot about linux this way....am i doing something wrong?

if i logout when i leave the cookies are cleared so that is not an option...or is it?

Thanks in advance
Tom

The "new post" count is the posts that are new since your last visit. When you visit the site as a result of a subscribed thread email, that does count as a visit. However, you can go to your UserCP and view all new threads in the last x hours.
