i think that there should be attachment option with the post so that one can attach something related to his/her problem or it can be the snapshot of the problem..that will be the best use of snapshot utility which comes with almost every linux distro.
This will help all others to understand the problem correctly and reply it accordingly..
I disagree. Attachments would only clog up the servers, IMO, as everyone suddenly decides that they need pictures, mp3 files, etc etc. Making people link to them offsite means that you have to decide what is important. And for the rest, the code tags work very well.
Text files can easily be covered by code or quote tags - it is extremely rare that the whole text file would need to be posted, usually we are looking for specific areas. And picture attachments are too hard to moderate - we would have little idea of whether the picture was suitable or not.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pastebin#Abuse_and_spam - it may be more trouble than it's worth! We already get complaints about the anti-spam measures, adding a captcha into the mix would go against the ease of use needs for LQ and LQers. That said, I hadn't heard of this before and looks interesting. If security could be improved it may be a goer at some time in the future.
