So far. After the election stuff is over. My method in post 12 is working peachy keen for me. The site threads load much faster and I can view posts on my ignore list if I so wish it.

I am a happy camper with this method.

I don't see how one could object to any topic being discussed here -- if you don't like it don't read it (I keep away from USian politics and religious threads for that reason).
I feel that bringing politics, religion or any other topic irrelevant to a thread ought not to be allowed since it amounts to SPAM but a thread started with the title "Satanists for Stalin" I would have no problem with no matter how moronic I may find the opinions therein.
