Unless there's something I've got inadvertantly disabled this end, there doesn't seem to be a search box on the home page. Given that the site is in every other way fully fitted-out, I find this very odd. Is there something I've done wrong or is a search box on the way in the near future?
The serach box has been switched for a search dropdown. Clic the arrow next to the word "search" and you'll see several search boxes. This is also available on the home page.

Glad you found it It's useful for us to know when something isn't obvious on the site - many of us have been around for a while and take the usability for granted. Luckily nothing is set in stone and if an aspect of the site isn't usable, or usable by new members, it's a good thing to let us know.
