Scripting sub-forum?

Hi all!

I am new here, and as I have looked at the forums a bit it seems as though a lot of scripting related stuff end up in the ”newbie” forum.

Not that this is a problem in itself, but could it perhaps be an idea to create a sub-forum just for scripting?

There is probably a good reason why there is no such sub-forum, but since I am new here I am curious.

Apologies in advance if this has been discussed before.

Best,
HMW

While the Newbie forum should be OK if you're new to Linux most of the shell scripting threads tend to end up in the Programming forum.

Ah, ok. My bad. I thought that was mainly for other languages (C, C++, Java and whatnot).

Thanks for answering!

It is, just doesn't seem to fit anywhere else. Though if you look for posts by members like David the H. you'll find those interested in helping out with shell scripting questions keep an eye on both the Programming and the Newbie forum.
