Review Section Updated - Books Added

The review section has been updated. If you notice any problems or have any suggestions let me know. I have also added books to the review section. While In beta there will only be Books -> OS -> Linux. After the beta is over I will add all the other categories. All feedback is welcome. Thanks.

Hi Jeremy

nice to see the books section. How about a Hardware Section to review PDA's and other embedded devices?

I was going to suggest the same thing but after looking over the HCL, we really don't have a good category these would go in I would think. The only suitable one is External Storage Devices which the description is kind of deceiving. But also it doesn't seem very suitable as PDA's and such are more than just a storage device..

Hmmm..

That's true. I'll keep PDA's in mind for when we decided whether to add a Laptops section (maybe it will just be a mobile devices cat).

Ya, that wud be nice. But you can also have other embedded devices if u were to make a review category for embedded devices.

I agree with you though that at present HCL will do.

Cheers.

I've sent you an email about this, but I'll repeat myself here as well, I've just posted a book review of a C++ programming book, but the ++ part of the title gets missed off, leaving it as a review of a C programming book.

Is this some bizarre attempt to get people programming in C rather than C++?

Anyway just so that you're aware.

On a slightly different topic, since you're discussing the HCL above, shouldn't the HCL listing appear at the top of any Search results, as it might give valuable information quickly rather than having to wade through lots of posts.

Cheers
Amos

The problem with the ++ has been corrected. Thanks for the bug report.
