Reply & edit session window differences

Hi,

I've noticed that whenever a edit is made to a reply and I want to install linked information for WYSIWYG option set for enhanced interface that the linked URL must be inserted via the insert link button. When using the reply session you can move the linked label without inserting the URL.

I would think the same user interface would be used for the edit session as is used for the reply session.

Must be missing something.

AFAIK the WYSIWYG interface only works on the regular "Post Reply" and "Advanced Edit" pages, and it doesn't apply to Quick Reply or the in-thread editor.

Hi,

My point.

Why not have a standard? There are times that I wish to move a linked label while in the edit session. Sure the long way can still be done. Why separate session types?

The "Quick Reply" is meant to be just that and has pared down functionality as a design decision. That being said, a future code update will actually change the editor quite a bit. Thanks for the feedback.

Cool.

Does that mean that the Quick Reply editor will have a WYSIWYG option as well? I often find myself using the Quick Reply in all cases, and only going to the regular Post Reply page if the response happens to be very long (so that I can review it before posting). This reply was written using the Quick Reply box (and edited using the in-thread editor). Not that I use the WYSIWYG editor a lot (I find manual BBCode to be more flexible ), but it would be interesting to see that as an option for Quick Reply and the in-thread editor.

The QRB will likely always be a subset of the advanced editor, but the final layout and functionality of the next iteration has not been determined at this time.
